VPEF Endowment Fund
As a non-profit serving a specific group of children we recognize that there is a real capacity to the amount of dollars we can expect to raise through annual donations; What is truly amazing about an endowment is that it provides an avenue that can break through a capacity ceiling and have virtually no capacity limit itself.
In 2012 VPEF established the VPEF Endowment Fund. Over the past nine years board members, volunteers and supporters have enabled this opportunity to begin a long-term commitment to public education in the VUSD. The Fund is designed to protect the principal of the investments which is never to be used for anything other than generate interest income. Overtime the fund will grow, with that the interest income will also grow into a significant annual income that can be used to augment the annual support from donors.
As the adage goes, there are two ways to make money: people at work and money at work. For the last 9 years all money raised has been through people at work. We are now taking the step to put money at work as well. The more we can save today, the more we will have to enrich the future. As a part of our commitment to the long-term, VPEF will be allocating 10% of gross revenues to the Endowment Fund.
One of our strongest characteristics as an organization is that we are currently run 100% by volunteers. This allows a high percentage or ratio of dollars donated to go directly towards the mission, rather than towards overhead costs.
Our vision is that students will be able to compete successfully in the global economy.
Our mission is to raise funds and support programs that enrich the quality of the educational environment in the Vacaville Unified School District.
