Please join us for our 8th annual event at beautiful hills and lake at Lagoon Valley Regional Park. Whether you are competing seriously or walking leisurely, Loop the Lagoon is a great way to get involved in a healthy activity for a worthy cause.

Events & Start Times:
5K Run/Walk – 8:30am Loop around the lagoon. USATF certification CA09001RS
10K Run/Walk – 8:45am Double loop course around the lagoon.
Tower Challenge (approx 6.3 miles) – 8:45am Trail route with a 730′ gain/descent plus loop around the lagoon. Suggested for ages 13+.
2 Mile Walk– 9:00am. Untimed, loop course along the shoreline of the lagoon.
1/2 Mile Kid’s Fun Run (Ages 9-12) – 10:30am
1/2 Mile Kid’s Fun Run (Ages 8 & Under) – 10:45am
Directions and Parking:
Lagoon Valley Regional Park
4681 Pena Adobe Road, Vacaville, CA
Arriving early for parking is strongly recommended for all events. Gate and course will be closed at approximately 8:00 am for race commencement. Participants should carpool if possible.
Parking: Main parking entrance is located at the south gate into park from Lagoon Valley Road exit. Follow the event parking signs. Limited alternate parking available at the Pena Adobe Road exit from I-80.
Directions: From San Francisco area, take I-80 eastbound and exit Lagoon Valley Road. Turn right and follow signs for parking. From Sacramento area, take I-80 westbound to Lagoon Valley Road exit. Turn left and follow the event parking signs to south gate entrance.
Trail Run Series Event:
The Tower Challenge 10K is the 1st of 2 races in the 2011 Fleet Feet Trail Run Series. Earn points and be eligible for prizes for participation in the this event, The 2nd event is the Lynch Canyon Trail Run near Vallejo on June 4, 2011. Packet Pick Up:
Entrants may register and pick up race packets (bibs/t-shirts) at Fleet Feet Sports,354 Merchant Street in Vacaville on Friday, April 29th, from 12-6:00PM. Race packets may also be picked up on race morning at the race site starting at 7:00AM
Entry Fees:
Adults: $30.00 by April 11th; $35.00 April 12-April 30.
*Adult Team Runner: $25 by April 11th; $30 April 12-29.
Youth (18 & Under): $15.00 by April 11th; $20.00 April 19-April 30.
* must have 3 members per team and have a unique team name
Awards:
$600 prize purse for top male & female 5K, 10K and Tower Challenge winners. Overall and top 3 age-group male and female prizes will also be given to 5K, 10K and Tower challenge winners.
5K Team Challenge:
Create a team of 3 or more participants and include your team name on your entry. Team members should sign up individually. The team with the most entries wins a $500 Classroom Enrichment Grant, donated to a Vacaville classroom in the team’s name. Team members may enter any distance to determine overall team participation. The top 3 fastest 5K finishers on each time will determine the team’s 5K time. Entrants on teams are still eligible for age division awards in the 5K/10K/Tower Challenge.
Optional Pledge Program:
Collect pledges or donations to sponsor your participation in Loop the Lagoon! All pledge money raised is to be brought race day and turned in at the pledge table.
Volunteers Needed:
Not planning on running? Please join our crew on event morning as a volunteer. We and thousands of runners, walkers and kids would love to have your support. Each year, several hundred volunteers are needed to produce this event. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt if you notify us of your participation in advance. Contact www.info@vpef.org.

Are runners allowed to run with dogs on a leash.

Hi Daniel, we welcome four legged friends but request that you position at the rear of the start pack to avoid the congestion and potential tripping hazard. Look forward to seeing you there.
