Supporting Teachers
The Vacaville Public Education Foundation serves teachers by raising funds through a mini-grant program, to help them receive the tools they need in order to function in an up to date environment and inspire their students. Mini-Grant requests have come in for many different areas and have been in the form of helping to provide textbooks, computer projectors, literacy coaches, field trips and more.
The Vacaville Public Education Foundation offers the mini-grant program where applications are received from VUSD teachers for requests that enrich the lives of their students. We would like to thank the teaching staff for sharing their thoughts and appreciation with us. Please take a look at what they have had to say about how the Vacaville Public Education Foundation has helped them and their students:

The Cooper school class took a field trip to Loma Vista Farm in Vallejo. 76 parents served as chaperones.
Students were given a 'hands on' experience of a working farm. they were able to touch the animals, plant seeds and learn about being kind to one another and animals. Many children had never been up close to a live farm animal. The field trip as a suggested grant purpose is excellent. Field trips have almost become prohibitive with the cost of bus transportation. You made 123 children very happy. Thank you for this wonderful grant. We were all enriched by the experience."
