VPEF’s Mini Grants 2009

The VACAVILLE PUBLIC EDUCATION FOUNDATION (VPEF)’s Board of Directors wishes to thank all those Vacaville Unified School District teachers who took advantage of VPEF’s 2008-2009 round of mini-grants to introduce their students to the many adventures that can be had on field trips. VPEF awarded grants for field trip travel expenses to a total of 28 classes from 15 schools throughout the VUSD during this school year. Continue reading

Education Foundation Earns Tax-Exempt Status

Looking for a tax deduction? You might consider making a donation to the Vacaville Public Education Foundation (VPEF)

VPEF, which last year incorporated as a California public benefit corporation, recently received 501c3 tax-exempt status from the IRS and the State of California. This means donations to VPEF are deductible from state and federal income tax (unless the donor receives a benefit in return, such as a dinner at the VPEF Halloween Ball), according to Carl Debevec, VPEF board member and attorney-at-law. VPEF Appoints New Board Members

The Vacaville Public Education Foundation recently appointed five new members to its board of directors. “These new directors bring a fresh perspective to the board, and we see many opportunities for them to contribute,” noted Board President Catherine Podkin.
